FCE Course
The FCE (First Certificate in English) at IH Palermo.
Preparing for FCE will lead you to a much deeper understanding of everyday, natural English. This is the first step towards a true competence in the use of the English language. The skills you will develop while studying for FCE will be useful for many practical everyday purposes, including business and study.
This course is useful if you are planning to spend time in an English speaking country. FCE indicates sufficient proficiency in English to be of practical use in office, reception and managerial jobs in industries such as tourism, where contact with English speakers is required.
Passing FCE will demonstrate you have acquired all the skills described in the B2 CEFR level.
If you are planning to take a higher examination such as CAE, IELTS (6.5 and above) or CPE, then taking FCE would be a good way to start familiarising with the structure of higher level Cambridge Exams.
The course at IH Palermo is twice a week and will require much work on your behalf. Even tough your lessons are only 1 hour and twenty minutes each time, there will be a lot of homework and you will have to produce numerous compositions.
This preparation course also includes:
- Reading, Writing, and Use of English papers practice
- Preparation for Speaking Test and Listening papers
- Exam practice up to 10 hours Homework per week
