Introduction

CPE stands for Certificate of Proficiency in English. It represents the level C2 of the Council of Europe's Common European Framework of Reference for Languages. This is the highest English level Cambridge ESOL exam.

Why take CPE?

This level brings you close to the standard of English that native speakers use. You will be able to speak English language in any situation, any context.

Most academic institutions recommend CPE as an acceptable level of English for their courses and programmes. It is also widely recognised in the professional world, especially since the advent of Globalisation.

What is the exam like?

CPE is a very advanced exam. The materials used in it mostly come from real texts and recordings. To pass, candidates must be comfortable with core subtleties and nuances of the English Language.

On passing the test you will receive a certificate awarded by the University of Cambridge ESOL and a results' statement , showing how you performed in the exam.

How do I prepare for it?

This exam is the most advanced Cambridge Exam a non-native speaker may undertake.
