The tests have been developed by Cambridge Assessment in partnership with leading higher education institutions, with close collaboration on pilot studies. All tests are developed through intensive research. Validation research is at the heart of the test development and review process.
These tests were originally developed in response to requests from the University of Cambridge. However, as the reputation of Cambridge Assessment’s dedicated team grew, the Admissions Tests and Special Testing Division received requests from other institutions to use the TSA, including the University of Oxford and UCL.
Cambridge Assessment also works in partnership with the University of Oxford to deliver the History Aptitude Test (HAT) and the Physics Aptitude Test (PAT).
Cambridge Assessment is also collaborating with the Italian Ministry of Higher Education and Research (MIUR) and three Italian universities on the International Medical Admissions Test (IMAT).
